WayPoint Guide Service
Are you wanting to catch fish, learn to fish off
shore structure, learn where to catch fish on
the particular lake or just wanting an enjoyable
day on the lake, I am the guide for you.
I have extensive knowledge of Bass Fishing, and
have competed on both the local level and FLW
Pro/Am events with great success. My favorite
bass fishing technique is structure fishing off
shore. My guiding experience in 1998 to 2001 was
a great opportunity to meet and teach fishermen
the art of locating structures and fishing off shore.
In 2001 I resigned from guiding excursions to
compete professionally. I am now ready to
again start providing my service to those
looking to improve their bass fishing knowledge
of off shore fishing, as well as provide a great
fishing trip to both novice and experienced
fishermen. My service was utilized by the
Hook-n-line Fishing Map Company to create the
most accurate fishing maps of both Belton and
Stillhouse Hollow Lake in 1999.
Lake
Stillhouse Hollow is located just off I-35 out
of Belton Texas, it is a premier bass fishing
lake where five fish limits averaging over
twenty pounds in tournament competition.
Stillhouse Hollow is a Central Texas, secret
bass fishing lake, its popularity is just coming
into the eyes of the bass fishing
community. Stillhouse Hollow acquired hydrilla
in 1997 and until the flood of 2007 was a strong
grass lake, the grass is slowly coming back, but
for now the key to large fish is structure
fishing deep.

The unincorporated town of
Stillhouse Hollow
in
Bell County
is adjacent to the reservoir, as are portions of
Salado,
a small town south of Belton. The Harker Heights
area also makes significant use of the Lake as a
recreational and wildlife area.
Stillhouse
Hollow Dam
and the reservoir are both managed by the Fort
Worth District of the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers and a majority of the lake is man
made. The reservoir was officially impounded in
1968, and serves to provide flood control for
the communities downstream. The lake also
functions as a water supply for several of the
surrounding communities. Stillhouse Hollow Lake
is a popular recreational destination.

Belton
Lake is a popular tournament lake with a good
population of both largemouth and smallmouth bass.
Five pound smallmouth bass are common on Belton Lake.
Tournament weights range from thirteen to twenty
pounds to win, with sixteen pounds being a solid
weight for five bass on average.
